All Fusion staff are fully supported through generous donations from churches and individuals.
Shelby Flowers
International leader
Shelby Flowers first traveled to Czech in 2010 to serve at a Fusion camp with a short-term team. Very quickly she realized that her relationship with Czech would never be “short-term”. The way music works as a tool to build relationships and connect people to Christ is Shelby’s passion, and in that sense, Fusion is basically a dream come true. She served as a Fusion intern in the Czech Republic the summers of 2011 and 2012, and now that she’s graduated from Vanderbilt University with a bachelor of music degree in piano and composition, she is working with Fusion full-time.
Shelby is using her passion for music to reach young people in Central and Eastern Europe with the love of Christ. She is part of the S-Team in Ostrava, Czech Republic and travels internationally to help launch and establish Fusion in other JV countries.
Milan Szturc
International team member
Milan grew up in a Christian family and became a Christian when he was 12 years old. He graduated from the Technical University of Ostrava and began his career in the investment department of a housing association. After the revolution in Czech republic, he worked in business. Then, he worked as a director in an advertising and printing agency, Ethics, and taught Strategic Management at a business school in Ostrava.
He later taught at KAM’s (Josiah Venture’s partner organization in Czech) internship program. In 2009, Milan founded the first Fusion (an outreach to unchurched youth through a network of evangelistic rock/gospel choirs and performing arts groups) in his church (ESK) in Havirov. During the development of the ministry, Milan experienced a calling to Fusion full-time and decided to leave his job. Milan is currently in the process of raising support for the further development of Fusion.
Milan and his family live in Havirov where he is one of the leaders of the church. He is involved in preaching, the mission’s team and youth group ministry.
Korban and Tanya first met the Josiah Venture team at the Fall Conference in 2003. They immediately connected with the hearts of the JV missionaries and leadership team, and they returned the following year to serve at a Czech English camp.
They loved the way JV served the local church by leading alongside them to engage their culture for Christ. Since autumn 2013, the Millers have been serving in Katowice, Poland. They’ve partnered with a church there to launch the first Fusion project in Poland. Fusion equips Polish believers with the tools to reach the next generation through high-energy rock bands and choirs.
For the Millers, leading Fusion at a local and national level allows them to serve in a way that maximizes their gifts and passions – mainly, their passion to see the next generation in Poland know the saving love of Christ.
Amanda first came to Slovenia in the summer of 2012 for the first Fusion camp in Slovenia. Amanda experienced a passion for Slovene students and the ministry of Fusion during that trip. It was on her third trip to Slovenia that the Lord confirmed His calling on her life to be a part of Fusion Slovenia.
Music is one of Amanda’s greatest passions, serving with Fusion is something she was created to do. Amanda serves in Celje, Slovenia alongside Johnny & Brooke Stevens and Gwynne Gardner and helps with the local Fusion in Celje and throughout Slovenia.
David grew up in a Christian family in the Czech Republic. After graduating high school, he went to study sociology, beginning in Prague and finishing in Bratislava, where he met his future wife. For several years he worked in the academic world and in a market analysis agency.
A few years ago, however, he began to sense that God was calling him into a ministry with young people. He found out about the ministry of Fusion, Josiah Venture’s music and performing arts ministry, and it intrigued him so much that he started thinking about how he could bring it to his church. A year later, it happened, and Bratislava’s second Fusion group was born in Raca. David served as the director of the Raca Fusion for two years. During this time, he realized that he did not want to be just a volunteer in this work but wanted to devote himself to it more intensively. Thanks to the invitation from TCKompas, JV’s national organization in Slovakia, God is now fulfilling his dream.
David lives in Bratislava with Daniela and their three children. Besides his family, David loves sports, theology, good music, and food. He gets his greatest joy from seeing people enjoy life and come to realize that they can live a full life through a personal relationship with God.
Christy first traveled to Ukraine in high school, and the country and its people have been on her heart ever since. In 2012, Christy traveled back to Ukraine and began to realize that God was asking her to consider more of a long-term ministry. Christy was then exposed to Fusion rock/pop choirs and everything fell into place. Since college, Christy has been teaching high school choir and Josiah Venture provided the perfect opportunity to combine full-time ministry and music.
Currently, Christy serves in Lviv, Ukraine. She is working with youth in Fusion choirs and training local Ukrainians in musical skills and leadership. Discipleship is an important part of JV’s work in Ukraine and currently Christy is a disciple-maker to the young women that lead and serve in Fusion. Please pray alongside Fusion Ukraine as they step out in bold faith to reach the youth of Ukraine.
Yoan and Nadia met for the first time at Sunday School. Yoan is a Pastor's child and is a 3rd generation Christian. At 18, he received his calling from God to minister to young people and dedicate himself to youth ministry. Nadia's family came to know God as Savior during the great revival of the 90ties. At 20, he married Nadia, continuing their ministry in the youth group as a family.
As a music-loving person, she dreamed of serving unbelievers with the music the Lord gives us and believed that one day they would be able to serve that way! They prayed that God would open the door to serve Him full time.
A few years ago, they attended the JV fall conference in the Czech Republic, where Yoan heard about Fusion and how this ministry is changing the lives of young people in Europe. That’s when Yoan decided “I want this in Bulgaria!”.
For three years now Yoan and Nadia have been serving and have been responsible for Fusion Sofia as volunteers, and they work and sustain their family with their business. Recently, they were asked to become full-time members of Istinski Horizonti’s team (JV’s partner organization in Bulgaria) and assume the national coordination of Fusion for Bulgaria. In addition, they are youth pastors and are heavily involved at Elim Sofia Church, leaders of the youth national ministry of their denomination, God's Church, in Bulgaria.
2014 was the year when Fusion Rakvere started in Estonia. I did not take part of the first Fusion camp, but my sister did and that is the reason I started going to Fusion rehearsals in fall 2014. I was then a 14-year-old girl, coming from a non-Christian family.
For me, Fusion was the reason why I first started going to church. It was in summer 2015 when I gave my life to Jesus in Fusion summer camp and a year after that I got baptized.
Ever since I have been actively going to church and taking part of the amazing Fusion ministry. Fusion is the place where I have met my best friends and where I have had the best opportunities to learn, grow and help others to do the same. Right now, I am the leader of Fusion Rakvere and I do it because I really believe in it – I believe that Fusion has the power to bring people together and most importantly – bring people closer to God.

Ruxi grew up in a Christian family and served in the local church in Galați ever since she was nine. After graduating from high-school, she moved back and forth a couple of times for school and work, but was always drawn back to Galați, a city in great need for hope for the young generation.
She had been praying for a teen-focused ministry ever since she was a teenager herself, having a heart for discipling young girls. When hearing about Fusion, she immediately realized this project was the answer to that 10-year-old prayer. Today, she has left behind the world of corporate retail and is co-director of Fusion Romania, dedicating all her time to serving among the youth, whether leading the local team, working on the expansion of Fusion choirs, and leading a small group for girls who accepted Christ through Fusion; discipling them and others.
David first came to Latvia in 2003 to work with international students and was shocked by their history and how many of his Latvian friends came from broken families.
He became burdened for Latvian teenagers to encounter Jesus. This led him to spend two years in the east of Latvia before moving to the west coast to Grobiņa to work with the youth ministry team of a Baptist church. Ieva was also on this team. After being co-workers for two years, they worked even closer together for a year and got married the next.
They encountered Josiah Venture (JV) mostly through doing JV Fusion camps and found themselves in harmony with Josiah Venture’s zeal for discipleship, leadership training, and outreach, and joined JV in 2012. David serves in the local youth ministry and directs the national Fusion ministry.
